Editting a fields attributes: While in the Fields Layer of Design Mode, with the arrow tool (selection tool) selected, you can edit any fields attributes by just holding down the option key while clicking on the field you wish to edit.
While in design mode, and while a field is selected, pressing the left, right, up or down arrow keys will move the field one pixel in the selected direction. If the Shift key is down while pressing one of these movement keys, just one side of the field will move outward one pixel at a time. If the Shift key is down and the Option key is also down, one side of the field will move inward.
To make it easier to find all of the fields of the form while in data entry mode, choose the option "Show Field Outlines" from the "Layout" menu. This will show a dashed line around each field in the form.
When you are going to be using fairly complex forms and PICTs or MacPaint files and you're going to be using Form It! under MultiFinder, you should set the "Application Memory Size (K):" option (the default is set at 390k) by doing a "Get Info" command from the Finder while the Form It! application is selected. Give it as much memory as you need and have available.
WARNING: Most operations in the design mode (Fields or PICTure layers) can be undone, however, when switching from one layer to another or when moving into the Form Data Management Mode the last operation will not be undoable!
WARNING: If you renumber or delete any fields after any calculated fields are defined, and any fields used in a calculated fields formula are altered by the renumbering or deletion, you must redo the formula of each affected calculated field.
